SPESIMA GmbH (Specialized Systems for Automation) is a pioneering Bulgarian-German joint venture, established as a 100% privately-owned enterprise. Our German partner, Frech Internationale Beteiligungen GmbH, is a subsidiary of the prestigious Oskar Frech GmbH + Co. KG, a global leader in the production of hot and cold chamber die casting machines.

Founded in 1989, SPESIMA GmbH has been at the forefront of innovation in industrial automation. Our core expertise lies in the development and implementation of advanced systems that enhance the efficiency and precision of industrial production processes. Our cutting-edge automation solutions, particularly our specialized robots for horizontal die casting machines in Zinc, Magnesium, and Aluminium applications, are trusted by customers in over 30 countries across the globe with more than 3500 system currently working.

In 2014, we expanded our portfolio to include the re-engineering of industrial robots, a strategic move that aligns with our commitment to sustainability and innovation. By utilizing the robust mechanical frameworks of existing industrial robots, our engineers design entirely new hardware, software, and interfaces tailored to our clients’ specific needs. This process is underpinned by a state-of-the-art mechatronic approach, incorporating functional-structural and dynamic analysis, computer modeling, and proprietary know-how.

With 35 years of experience, SPESIMA has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation. We proudly hold over 25 patents, registered utility models, and trademarks. Our products have garnered international recognition, earning numerous awards and accolades at prestigious exhibitions and fairs, including GIFA in Germany, FICMES in China, ANKIROS in Turkey, etc. Notable honors include the 2006 Award of the German Economy in Bulgaria, Gold Medals from the International Technical Exhibition in Plovdiv (1997 & 2012), and the Innovative Company Awards from the Applied Research and Communications Fund in 2004 and 2012.

Our company operates from a state-of-the-art facility, encompassing over 4,000 square meters of production space and 800 square meters of engineering offices. We are proud to employ a team of around 40 highly skilled professionals, including five PhDs, all of whom bring expertise across various engineering disciplines.

SPESIMA maintains strong collaborations with leading Bulgarian organizations and universities. We are an active member of the German-Bulgarian Economic and Trade Chamber, the Bulgarian Industrial Association, Professional Association of Robotics, Automation and Innovation, the Society of Automatics and Informatics Union, and the Robotics Association. We also work closely with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Technical University in Sofia. Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in our ongoing support for students and undergraduates, who regularly engage with us for training, university projects, and graduation work.
